11/12/11
We arrived in Leeds, Utah on Thursday the 10th. Arranged to have our mail delivered here on the 9th of Nov. Not here yet so must wait for it to get here. Forgot about the holiday, then the weekend so we must wait here until Monday. We have beautiful view from our camp site. The weather is so much warmer. It's 39 at night and sunny during the day, only need a light jacket or sweatshirt during the day. We drove to Zion National Park yesterday. What a colorful drive. No snow around here, but we did have some on a couple of the 4 passes we went over to get here from Beaver, Utah. We took a lot of pictures of the different rock stuctures and mountains. The sun wasn't out so we didn't get the deep red of the rocks, but still it was beautiful.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but today we have the door and a couple of windows open.

Today was kind of a catch up day, did laundry, trimmed Wayne's hair, trimmed Taffy's nails, and vacuumed the motor home. We have lots of areas around here to walk, and Taffy is enjoying the nicer weather as well as we are.

We plan to drive to St. George tomorrow. One thing we noticed in Utah is the speed limit. 80 mph.The gas prices were $3.24 and $3.29at the Flying J in Beaver and Parowan.

Driving through Salt Lake City was a harrowing experience with the motor home,6 lanes across with huge 3 trailer trucks flying by. We drove in the far right lane, but that put us right next to a 12 ft. wall. There was construction everywhere, and the far right lane turned into an off ramp. One time we had to drive off with the rest of them, because drivers wouldn't let us over. Wayne was so glad to get out of that traffic. He says every truck in Utah was passing us on both sides at the same time. The 80 mph is outside the city limits, inside city limits it's 75, 65 trucks.
